Daren spotted this former Decatur resident (Sunday Paper) hanging out at the intersection of Ponce and Highland Ave in, uh, well, Poncey-Highlands.

it’s a shame that all those newspapers touting decatur establishments are being banished.

Umm… Unless I have it terribly wrong, no newspapers are being “banished,” they are simply being required to comply with local regulations for distribution boxes on the public sidewalk. My understanding is all that CL and others needed to do was renew the registration on the boxes and pay a fee.

Please correct me if I’m mistaken…

Correct . . . also if I’m not mistaken, their complaint was that the boxes were missing. I guess they walked themselves over to the new location and are being filled on a regular basis by themselves as well.

            Cool! Little walking newspaper boxes!

Now if we could only get little walking beer coolers to come by my office. Maybe even stocked by the BSP guys…

Sad. More Decatur residents falling to the tidiness and high rents of the fastidious, well-heeled gentry.
