As someone who uses surveys frequently for work, I have to say, this is not a good survey design. Where’s the skip logic? Where’s the clear explanation? Where’s the consistency in question formatting. Yikes! Still though, it’s great that they’re asking for citizen input, I just wish they designed it better.
I kind of chuckled at the “Many people don’t have the time to vote. Did you vote in the last election cycle?” or something like that.
Isn’t that sort of like leading the witness, or are they trying to say “it’s ok if you didn’t vote, don’t be ashamed!” to get a more accurate response?
I received the same letter in yesterday’s mail, which seemed like a waste of paper with all the commercials, tv ads, print ads, billboard ads, news report, etc. Just mail the census not a letter telling us it’s coming.
I got the warning letter too. I would have thought a letter AFTER mailing the census would be more effective–“You know that census form you got last week? Go find it and fill it out!” I guess the idea of a warning is that we might throw it out otherwise.

You got your Census in the mail? I got a letter telling me to look for the census next week.
And I didn’t get a citizen survey.

Hmm…looks like I shouldn’t be assume when it comes to the U.S. Census.
I can’t wait to open my envelope of ads!

Still no City Of Decatur census. Decatur Heights residence. Hmmm… :0)
Add the Dem. Nat’l Committee to the info seeking list. Their election survey arrived today.
