Decatur Murder Suspect Found in Alabama
Decatur Metro | January 1, 2008 | 12:06 pmA 22 year-old schizophrenic, bipolar Decatur High dropout, accused of killing both his father and grandfather at 41 Village Court (off Commerce Road) in Decatur, was arrested in rural Lowndes County, Ala. yesterday. The AJC has details on the arrest of Miller Jordan III, who is accused of killing his grandfather, Miller Jordan Sr., and father, Miller Jordan Jr., in their Decatur home.
As one of the first murders in the city that I’ve encountered since starting this blog back in Sept 07, its particularly tragic. A family that had tried to live with their son’s past psychological problems and transgressions is murdered by him in the end. Though random acts of violence are generally “scarier” to the general population, this kind of domestic violence is nearly always more tragic.
UPDATE: The AJC now has details of Jordan’s arrest. Here’s a snippet…”[Police Chief] Mitchell approached Jordan’s green Nissan Altima and noticed dried blood on his hands and clothes and the shoes missing from his feet on what was a chilly night.”
