Thomas Markle in Crisis: Meghan’s Brother Moves In Amid Family Drama

Recent images captured Thomas Sr. alone, enduring the intense heat while seated outside a local supermarket close to his residence.

These photos were taken a day after he missed the sixth birthday of his grandson, Archie.

Thomas Markle has settled far from his estranged daughter in the Philippines.

It is reported that Markle is finding it difficult to adjust to the harsh climate of Southeast Asia.

“Thomas and his son have only recently settled into their new home in Cebu and are still getting accustomed to their new environment after the significant move overseas, but they support each other solidly,” a source mentioned.

Before moving to the Philippines, Thomas Sr. spent the last decade in a beachfront bungalow in Rosarito, Mexico.

His previous home was merely about 250 miles from where the Sussexes live in Montecito, California.

This relocation occurred shortly after several boxes containing Thomas’s possessions, including cherished family photo albums with pictures of Meghan, arrived in the Philippines.

Although located just yards from a busy seven-lane main road, the apartment complex is regarded as rather grand in the Philippines, a country where the average annual salary is a little over £7,000. Cebu itself is home to over three million people, with nearly 900,000 of its residents living below the poverty line.

Markle is living with his son, Thomas Jr., who is Meghan’s half-brother.

On Tuesday, Meghan shared a photograph of Archie, wishing her “sweet boy” a happy sixth birthday. The image, depicting the young boy against a vibrant sunset backdrop, was reportedly taken in Mexico.

In January, when he disclosed his plans to move to Southeast Asia, Thomas Sr. stated, “I traveled to this part of the world when I was younger. The people are extremely kind and welcoming, and they show great respect to elders. It’s a region rich in culture and beauty.”

“At 80, I’m seeking a place where the atmosphere is pleasant, and I can enjoy a calmer, friendlier lifestyle,” he added.

Thomas outlined his priorities: “In Southeast Asia, the healthcare is satisfactory, living costs are relatively low, the locals are respectful towards the elderly, and the food is wholesome.”

“Above all, I desire peace. At my age, none of us know how much time we have left, and I want to spend whatever time remains in peace without the intense drama of recent years.”

Thomas Sr. has yet to meet his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, whereas it’s believed that King Charles has only met Archie a few times and Lilibet just once since her birth.

“I’m not fleeing. I am pursuing a more positive life,” explained Thomas Sr. about his relocation.

“Every day, news about Meghan reaches me. I harbor no ill feelings towards her.”

His ultimate wish is to mend his fractured family: “I dream of the day when I can bring my entire family together, like any ‘normal’ family.”

Regarding Charles, who escorted Meghan down the aisle in his stead, he remarked: “I’m a grandfather and he’s the King of England – but he, too, is a grandfather who wishes to see his grandchildren.”
