    Decatur ArtWalk Tonight

    Decatur Metro | November 5, 2010

Prior to tomorrow’s Decatur Wine Festival, the Decatur Arts Alliance is holding an Artwalk this evening from 5p-10p around Decatur, much like the one prior to the Decatur Arts Festival (except the weather is slightly cooler and the leaves on the trees are a bit more colorful).

The details and a map of participating locations can be found in this lovely PDF.

Decatur Wine Festival Wine List Now Online

    Decatur Metro | October 20, 2010

The list of the multitude of wines that will be at this year’s Decatur Wine Festival is now online (in PDF)!

It looks like there will be 50 tables at this year’s event, with I’d say an average of 10 wines at a table.  For those of you a bit skittish about trying 500 wines in a single afternoon, the list also highlights the “must try” wines at each table.

The theme of this year’s festival is “organic”, so you’ll see a wide variety of offerings with an (O) next to them, indicating that extra bit of “fest cred”.

Nominate Your Favorite Area Restaurants for the Decatur Wine Festival

    Decatur Metro | September 24, 2010

As you may already know, each year the Decatur Wine Festival hosts a number of area restaurants who provide free food at the event for hungry wine tasters.  (If you’ve yet to purchase your tickets, you can still do so HERE)

Well this year, our friend Parker Cross has volunteered to recruit the dozen or so restaurants who will attend the November 6th festival and she’d love our help!

So she’s asking everyone out in the Decatur Metro ether to nominate their favorite area restaurants in the comments section of this post, and she will do her darnedest to get them in a booth at the Festival!
