“Run with the Dogs” This Saturday

    Decatur Metro | January 5, 2011

From Decatur’s Active Living Dept blog “Be Active Decatur“…

The annual Decatur Booster Club “Run With the Dogs” is this Saturday, beginning at 9am at Decatur High School. The race is part of the Team Decatur Grand Slam Fitness Challenge, so get out your running (or walking) shoes and have a fun morning being active. And no, you don’t have to bring a dog!

The 5K run begins at 9:00 am, rain or shine. Registration will take place in front of Decatur High School beginning at 8:00 am. Decatur High School, Renfroe Middle School, Glennwood Academy and City of Decatur elementary school students, parents, alumni, friends, neighbors and runners of all levels are invited to participate. Runners are invited to run with their dogs in a special group.

All proceeds will be used by the Decatur Bulldog Boosters to help fund the sports programs at Decatur High School and Renfroe Middle School.

The race will begin and end in front of Decatur High School on North McDonough Street in Decatur. Parking is available in the upper parking lot off Howard Avenue.

Decatur Booster Club Spring Fundraiser – March 27th

    Decatur Metro | February 8, 2010

    Bailey writes in…

The Booster club is having their spring fund raiser [Saturday] March 27th at the Church of the Epiphany. If anyone has any items that they would like to donate to our auction it would be very helpful.  It can be anything from a special cake you bake to donating a week at your mountain house.  Or if you would like to donate time, that would help also.

The money goes to student athletes of Decatur High and Renfroe. Please contact Bailey Pendergrast -sbpender@gmail.com
