Dave sends along this admittedly self-serving – but still exciting! – announcement…

Lemony Snicket will be in Decatur next Monday, October 21st. He’ll be visiting all the students at F.Ave in the morning and will be at Little Shop of Stories at 7pm.

For all the wonderful people at F.Ave, Little, Brown, his publisher, generously donated 50 copies of his new book, When Did You See Her Last? — the second book in Snicket’s All the Wrong Questions series — and 750 T-shirts.

And there’s a video which, of course, mentions Atlanta but not Decatur. Sigh. At least it’s funny.

The Little Shop blog reports a 99 person line had formed in front of the store prior to opening yesterday as the bookstore gave out all but 100 tickets for the Niel Gaiman event on December 14th at 6pm.

As for those 100 remaining tickets, the store is reconsidering how they will be distributed.  Jump over to their site for more detail.

I wonder if the Brick Store provided 99 bottles of beer for those in line…sorry, I thought I’d just throw myself on the lame joke sword before someone else did.
