A commenter on FFAF reported yesterday…

FYI – there is a sign on Dekalb/Howard at the RR crossing stating that it will be closed 2/28-3/3 for track repair. No more info than that. Total closure? That will be fun …

I heard from a friend that there’s a similar announcement out there for the Coventry Road railroad intersection for the same days.

City Manager Peggy Merriss hadn’t heard anything when we asked the city yesterday, but she pointed out that technically the west side intersections are outside the city limits, so CSX wouldn’t need to contact Decatur city officials.

More info as we have it.

Report: Saba Restaurant in Oakhurst Closes

A commenter noted late yesterday that Saba Restaurant has closed its Oakhurst location….

Strolled to Oakhurst tonight thinking of a salad at Saba, only to discover it’s gone. There’s still the one in Emory Village, but I’m sorry it’s left Oakhurst.

Yelp is also reporting that the Oakhurst location has closed and their website and Facebook page only mention their Emory Village location.
