Tickets are on sale now for the 2nd Annual Decatur Dinner Party!  Enjoy delicious dishes prepared by some of Decatur’s most talented chefs to raise money for Decatur’s Kitchen Garden – a Global Growers Project.  Decatur’s Kitchen Garden helps over 30 refugee families from in and around Decatur grow thousands of pounds of fresh food each season.

This limited attendance event will feature a multi-course farm-to-table meal, live music, beer, wine and a live auction. Auction items will include VIP access to local festivals, a wine and craft beer event package, and more.

On the agenda for tonight’s Decatur City Commission meeting, an alcoholic beverage license for Los Tres Amigos, a new restaurant taking over the old Native space in the 340 West Ponce de Leon Avenue building.  Decaturish

Decaturish reports that the restaurant’s website describes the venture as “…Decatur’s new restaurant featuring Mexican and Latin cuisine. We hope to be another local favorite for Mexican food lovers of all ages.”.  I wasn’t able to locate the website in a quick search, so if anyone can find it, feel free to chime in!

Parents and kids walking the sidewalks along side the busy streets.  A packed parking lot.  A Decatur Police cruiser and Officer Lindsey on his motorcycle vigilantly sitting across the street as cars are told to slow down to 25 mph along the stretch.
