Decatur PD just sent out this alert…

On 08/02/2014 at approximately 6:59 am, Atlanta Police responded to Candler Road just south of Chevelle Lane in reference to an armed robbery. The victim reported he was waiting at the bus stop when a vehicle pulled over and the occupants asked for directions. The victim walked closer to give directions and the passenger produced a silver revolver and requested the victim’s wallet and cell phone, to which he complied. The suspects them fled south on Candler Road.

The suspect vehicle was a beige four-door sedan, possibly a Hunyadi Sonata, displaying a partial Georgia tag of “XYZ21”.

The suspects were described as follows:

Suspect #1: Black male with salt and pepper hair in corn rows

Suspect #2: Black male, approximately 30-years-old with a dark complexion

This case may be related to the armed robbery and assault in the 300 block of East College Avenue in Decatur on 08/01/2014.

If you see a vehicle in the area matching this description, DO NOT CONFRONT THE OCCUPANTS OR CHASE THE VEHICLE. Call 911 immediately and provide the location and complete tag number to the operator.
