The 16th Annual Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival is Saturday, October 12 from 10 am until 7 pm at the center of the Oakhurst community in Harmony Park. Additional information will be available in the coming months. Events and features include:
• The 5K Arts Run/Walk
• Local artists, 10 am-7 pm
• Live musical performances, ongoing with a special concert at 5 pm
• Community area, featuring Decatur-based nonprofit groups, 10 am-7 pm
• Free activity area for children, 10 am-4 pm
• Good ol’ fashioned parade, 3 pm
• Food and beverages at Oakhurst’s many restaurantsThis event is presented by the Decatur Arts Alliance.

In many ways, my fav Decatur festival. Neighborhood oriented, not crowded, family friendly, no alcohol in the festival area. I just hope it doesn’t get “discovered”.
