I am totally out of the loop on Dekalb politics. Last I checked, the sheriff hired a hit squad.

So, what is Ellis indicted for? And is this truly criminal or politically motivated? Sorry to be ill-informed.

In a nutshell, he was indicted for shaking down vendors for political contributions.

Sounds like he attended the Bill Campbell School of Political Fundraising

Plenty of private tutoring from Kevin Ross.

Don’t know how to insert a link but check out Jan 13, 2013 AJC article about Ross .

Wow , our very own Godfather. (AJC: “Consultant’s dual roles emerge in DeKalb contracting probe”)

The sheriff’s hit squad is old news. We need to think of what will keep us in the news.

So we got the school board thrown out for mismanagement. That gets us into the New York Times! Is that enough? No way! (Who do you think we are, Clayton county?)

Corruption can put a county on the map – and we have to think big! Think of Illinois – they have had 4 of the past 7 governors in jail! Illinois is living proof of the power of kleptocracy (when properly implemented).

DeKalb has now had 2 CEO’s in a row accused of serious corruption, but this is our first indictment! We are getting noticed!

Where do we go from here? Maybe we get the county commission meetings off Cable Access, and get it syndicated nationally as the next great True Crime reality show?

I’m just glad the governor didn’t install Elaine Boyer as the CEO.
