That was one fearless and hungry hawk. It was in the middle of the road when I stopped my vehicle and began taking pictures. I slowly moved within less than ten feet and it took off into a nearby tree with a big critter in its talons. Then I drove within ten feet to take another pic. It just stared at me as if to say, “What chew lookin’ at?”
Man, that was one tough bird!
I had to drive around a vulture in the middle of the road in Winnona Park recently. It was dining on squirrel and had no interest whatsoever of moving out of my way.
