Scooter Stolen Near Agnes Scott Campus

My beloved scooter was stolen from my driveway on South Candler Street near Agnes Scott sometime between 10pm on June 19th and 7pm on June 20th. It is a red 2008 TGB Laser R9. Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos of my specific scoot, but it’s all stock and is identical to the photos I’ve attached to this email, save for a few small details: the decals on my scoot say “LASER R9″ instead of “LASER R5″, I had a black plastic milk crate bolted to the rear rack, there are a few scuff marks on the right handlebar end, and a 3″ long crack crack in the plastic handlebar cover next to the brake fluid reservoir. Sadly, I did not have any band stickers or other unique markings on it.
It had a Georgia tag when it was stolen, the thieves have probably removed that by now, but the VIN is still registered in my name. The bike is a 150cc scooter and so is much taller, wider, and longer than the 50cc ones that are allowed to run without tags. If you see a suspiciously large red scooter with no plates, take a closer look; it might be mine.
Any tips or sightings (including suspicious Craigslist ads) should be reported to the Decatur Police Department and/or Agnes Scott Police (the theft occurred on Agnes Scott-owned property). I’d appreciate it if tipsters would drop me a line at hinklem@gmail.com as well.
It wasn’t *technically* on the campus, it was stolen from my driveway. The rental property I live in is owned by Agnes Scott and is across the street from the campus. But, eh, “campus” is close enough. It’s really all of 50 feet of difference.
How about “near” Agnes Scott?
That works, too! Gracias!
Was it locked?
Nope, not locked. It usually lives in the locked shed at night, but I got lazy and left it out for a few nights. Now I am paying DEARLY for that. Lesson learned. -_-
Crime spree continues. 7 Burglaries and my catalytic convertor was stolen from under my car 6/12. Wonder what the community can do?
A stolen red scooter was recovered by City of Atlanta police in Kirkwood today.
