Since when is there a Halloween parade on the Square? Has this always been there? How have I missed this?

I believe it was new this year. Happened after LSOS Halloween story time. It was sponsored by Homegrown Decatur.

My sincere thanks to all of you with children: We have never had a more polite and appreciative throng of little ones as we have had tonight. And the sweet air kiss of the cutest little pumpkin girl, in leu of saying ‘thank you’ as her father directed her, was just wonderful.

I threw a travel-sized toothpaste in the candy bowl to use as a threat, but the second kid to see it said “Cool, toothpaste!” and snatched it right out of the bowl.

        HA!
        that’s great.
a neighbor and I were debating about messing with kids and opening candy such as m&m packages and putting broccoli or carrots in them, but then we decided it may be a bad idea as some parents may try to sue m&m mars or try to “occupy hershey’s” lol

I did a little science experiment with the trick-or-treaters this year. Big bowl half full of good candy and half full of tangerines. About 15% of the children selected the tangerines. I was surprised.

I just read a study that said 15% of children believe tangerines are actually giant Skittles.
