Found Shihtzu Staying at Village Vets

    Decatur Metro | October 28, 2011 | 8:46 pm

    Kelly writes in…

He’s currently lodged at the Village Vets but can’t stay there much longer. We found him Wed night at about 7:30pm. He appears to be a 12-15 pound Shihtzu male. He was on the sidewalk on Candler St. near the Recreation Center just sitting there with his leash attached and hanging next to him. He seems friendly, groomed, neutered, and obviously belongs to somebody. Unfortunately he had no tags and no microchip for ID. We asked several neighbors right in that area but nobody recognized him. If anybody knows this dog or has a lead on his owner please call Village Vets! Thank you.

There is also a found dog in the Oakhurst/Kirkwood neighborhood. He is a 55lb black chow mix young dog. He was found on Monday- if anyone has any idea whose dog this is-

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this dog and his owner at the Starbucks in the square a number of times. Sure looks like the same cute little dog the man ties up on the bench outside while he gets his coffee. I wonder if he got loose? Since he seems to be a frequent customer perhaps the star bucks employees might know him or maybe a sign posted at Starbucks can reunite them.

We posted a found dog flyer with the dog’s picture at the downtown Starbucks. Hopefully the owner will notice it and call Village Vets.

The dog pictured in a Shihtzu. A Maltese is an all white dog. Just wouldn’t want the owner possibly miss finding the dog because of a wrong breed name.

I’ve seen this dog in the square with it’s owners at some point last week.
