Anna Kendrick Filming “What to Expect” in Decatur Starting Tomorrow
Decatur Metro | September 28, 2011 | 10:59 amBrad sent in this pic from Church Street this morning. The city’s Katie Abel confirms that this no parking area is due to the filming of “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”, which we reported on over the weekend. I also noticed similar signs along McDonough this morning. She adds…
…mostly on Maple Street including some overnight stuff. My understanding is that they are filming scenes with Anna Kendrick, no Cameron Diaz or J.Lo.
If you can’t quite place Anna Kendrick, here’s a link for ya!

For a second, I read this as “What to Expect in Decatur”. That would make a great title for a city brochure, new neighbor welcome wagon, a Miss Manners treatise on our customs and mores, or even a mystery novel set in our own City.
Speaking as someone who is currently expecting (twins!), we find the ubiquitous WTEWYE to be kind of horrible and full of a lot of misinformation.
So I’m not sure what to expect from a film of said book, but the film adaptations of self-help bibles like “Eat Pray Love” and “He’s Just Not That Into You” would seem likely parallels (in other words, be afraid).
I hear Troma is making a film adaption of Miriam Webster’s Dictionary, starring Larry the Cable Guy and Sir Ian McKellan.
loved the book; will likely hate the movie.
