Mark your iPhone calendars beer lovers! Decatur Craft Beer Festival tickets go on sale next Tuesday, September 15th at noon.
Now you may recall that last year tickets didn’t quite sell out in the record 20 minutes as they did the year before – there are a lot more beer festivals around Atlanta these days – but the regular admission tickets did sell out in around 90 minutes. (Check out my handy Decatur Beer Fest ticket sellout times line chart from last year below.) So you’re still going to have to be on your game if you want tickets.
Not only that, but the logo has also been revealed (I’m told it’s done by the artist who also did that awesome Creature Comforts/Bookzilla chalk drawing at the Brick Store – who’s name escapes me at the moment John Durham!) AND the beer list is also online!! UPDATE: I’m told the beer list is actually the 2014 list. So stay tuned for the updated 2015 list.
So hop to it my friends!

what? no remarks about the logo? #newdecatur
Rather reminiscent of the (old?) Twains coaster, which is even cooler from a Decatur point of view. Who needs homes, schools, and churches when you can have fermenters?

I also find it pretty interesting that it garnered such a low response. My how things have changed!
Really great logo.
Anyone know when they’ll start volunteer sign up?
I heard it will be on Thursday.
Re logo: What are those things above and/or behind the 2015 keg? One is blue, one is yellow, and one is red. They look like stubby pencils to me. Or maybe Dixie cup dispensers.
Those are the big things they make beer in. Pretty sure that’s the technical term.
Fermenters
If you Google for images of “the big things they make beer in” you will find pictures of them. I love the Internet.
Hey all – so i’m told the beer list on the site is from 2014. I guess we need to wait and see for 2015. Obviously we’ll send out another post once it’s up.
I like that the fermenters are in the city logo colors (and in the correct order, L-R, blue, yellow, red) and also look like pencils for our great school system.
Anyone know ticket prices?
