So, assuming they didn’t have air tools to remove the lugs, that must have taken several minutes to lift the car and manually remove them. That’s a whole lot of time exposure to risk steeling four wheels.
Also, please keep your eyes peeled for a lawnmower with slightly over-sized tires. If you see it, exercise extreme caution. Do not approach the lawnmower. Take a picture and send it to this blog.
A few months ago there were two cases of Honda Fit tires being stolen on the same night in Ponce de Leon Heights. Both owners came outside in the AM to find one of their tires on cinderblocks. The police indicated that these tires are in great demand and that these are professionals, not kids playing a prank.
Wondering where in Avondale Estates this car was parked?
Wherever it was, it’s probably still there.
Yes, where in Avondale Estates did this happen? Imagine walking out your door, to find this.
Man, that’s just wrong.

That’s really low.
The car was parked off Rock Bridge Road in a well-populated parking lot.
That link / URL / map has nothing to do with where this happened.
Could someone post the exact location of this theft?

You’re probably just tired.
The tires should have been more difficult to steal since the car is parked so close to the curb.
Right near 3280 Rockbridge Rd, Avondale Estates, GA 30002
Yeah, I forget that area is actually considered Avondale Estates.
damn. OEM or aftermarket wheels?
Dang.
I was at Dancing Goats yesterday and I overheard this guy telling the… uhhh… coffee person, “My car was up on cinderblocks.”
And there it is.

I love when people use the term “professional” in association with criminals. I imagine them carrying around business cards.
I imagine them on Wall Street.
I live in Cabbagetown and during the snow storm two Fits on my street had this happen to them. Looks like they are being targeted all around town.
