Eye on the Street

Friday nights at Eurasia Bistro, the alter ego of Dr Lawhead, DeKalb Medical oncologist, comes out in black tie with mai tai in hand, as he channels Sinatra. He can accompany himself on piano or guitar, but he also has a tight backup combo. It’s a very good time.

When you walk in the door, Eurasia seems so incongruously elegant, I’ll bet it’s a great place to hear “Frank.”
No self-respecting Sinatra channeler would get anywhere near a mia tai.
Approaching authenticity mandates a martini. Just like Mr. Lucky circa 1995 at the Deluxe Club on Haight Street. Thanks Lawhead, but please exercise some more respect.
He’s not an impersonator, he’s an entertainer. The man likes a mai tai from time to time. It’s really more of a relaxed, cocktailed, fun scene, not an homage. I wonder which is more in the Sinatra spirit.
