    Decatur "Hip Zip" Coverage

    Decatur Metro | April 30, 2009 | 12:02 pm

Better Mornings Atlanta’s Corrina Allen stormed Decatur this morning at 5am for multiple segments featuring Decatur as a “Hip Zip”.

And all segments are already available online, including:

    Welcome to Decatur

Decatur: A Great Place For Kids

    Decatur Rules the Roost

    Shopping, Eating Fun in Decatur

Despite the early call, it looks like there was a great turnout at Parkers!  Videos feature lots of familiar faces, including Bill Floyd, Cheryl Burnette, the AsianCajuns, Carl Black, the Butt Nazi and many more.

Just watched them all…they’re right, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s no way to really include every reason for why Decatur’s the best place to live ever!

      CSD Mom–Ditto! Lovin’ Decatur!
Do you think Scott Peacock was annoyed that the reporter kept calling his restaurant by the wrong name? :)

Love those segments but gotta say, if Corrina Allen isn’t careful, her employers are gonna pull her aside for mandatory drug testing. No one can naturally possess that level of energy at 5am!

That reporter is a complete muppet.*

*My comment does not violate the ‘no personal insults’ policy because some people think muppets are cool.

Nice. Not everyone can pull out a Christmas Story quote at the end of April and make it work, but you did it Lump.

And not everyone can so quickly pick up a Christmas Story quote in April when it is doled out. I thought I was the only one who got that. I’m such a narcissist!

We need a thread on quotable movies… here are my top five

      Christmas Story
      The Holy Grail
      Raising Arizona
      Napoleon Dynamite
      School of Rock

Well, I like both those places, but it did strike me as odd that they would come to Decatur and not feature Brickstore/Leon’s, Eddie’s, or YDFM.

Duh…I just got that you were referring to her mispronouncing of those names…

I guess the good news is I am now qualified to be one of their on-air personalities.
