Urgent Reminder for Tesco Clubcard Holders
Tesco Clubcard members are being reminded to check their accounts as a significant amount of vouchers, worth millions of pounds, are poised to expire on May 31, 2025. Customers have only a few weeks left to redeem these vouchers before they are lost permanently.

Tesco has alerted its customers with a message stating, “Your Clubcard vouchers are expiring soon. Don’t forget to use them on your next shop.” Once the expiration date has passed, these vouchers cannot be reissued, potentially causing customers to forfeit rewards ranging from several tens to hundreds of pounds.
Clubcard vouchers have a validity of two years from their issuance date. Those vouchers earned around mid-2023 are due to expire soon, giving shoppers a limited window to utilize them before they vanish.
Understanding the Clubcard System
Tesco’s loyalty program, which is free to join, allows members to earn one point for every £1 spent either in-store or online. Every 150 points accumulated translates into a £1.50 voucher. These vouchers are typically issued quarterly—in February, May, August, and November.
Many customers may not realize that vouchers from 2023 might still be sitting unused in their accounts. However, there’s a handy tip to extend the life of these vouchers. By using just 50p of a voucher before it expires, Tesco will reissue the remaining balance with a new two-year validity period. For instance, if a customer has a £10 voucher nearing expiration, spending just 50p will result in the remaining £9.50 being reissued, thus extending the period available to use it.
How to Check and Use Your Vouchers
Customers can view their voucher balances by logging into their Tesco Clubcard account online or through the Tesco app, under the ‘Vouchers’ section of the Clubcard tab. Those shopping in-store can scan their vouchers from their phone at the checkout, while online shoppers will see their vouchers automatically applied during the checkout process.
Tesco’s Customer Engagement Centre provides additional support, encouraging shoppers who have lost track of their vouchers to use the Tesco app, where vouchers can easily be accessed and scanned at the till from their phones.
Maximizing Voucher Value
The value of Clubcard vouchers can be significantly increased through Tesco’s Reward Partner scheme. According to financial experts, these vouchers can be worth up to three times their face value when used with Tesco’s Reward Partners, which include popular options like Disney+, Legoland, and Pizza Express.
For example, 500 points that would normally equate to £5 in-store could be transformed into £10 when exchanged with a Tesco Reward Partner. However, it’s important to note that partner codes are valid for only six months and should be used promptly once claimed.
Act Quickly to Avoid Disappointment
With the deadline of May 31 rapidly approaching, Clubcard customers are encouraged to check their accounts soon to ensure they do not miss out. Tesco has made it clear that vouchers expiring post this date cannot be reissued, even if missed by a single day.
A quick check now—and possibly employing the 50p trick—could significantly benefit shoppers, allowing them to extend their vouchers’ validity and save on future purchases or experiences.
