Scrambling For Summer Camp Ideas for Your Kids?
Come to the first annual Summer Camp-A-Palooza at Winnona Park Elementary School:
- When: This Friday, March 8
- Time: 8:00AM to 10:00 AM
- Where: WP Cafe
Over 20 representatives from local camps will be in the Winnona Park cafe to share information with you (See list below). Interested parents should consider bringing information from camps they have been pleased with in the past to share with one another as well. We hope this will be a very useful to our school community as we plan our summer.

There’s been a lot of public commentary and outcry on the web in the past 24 hours regarding [the New York Times] article. Apparently, the mom who “forces” her kids to read big kid books feels her comments were taken out of context (http://zenleaf.amandagignac.com/2010/10/when-quotes-are-taken-out-of-context.html), and our own Ilene Zeff was dismayed that her published comments did not fully represent her thoughts on the issue.

Haiti needs a little magic.
A group of 3rd graders from Winnona Park Elementary have made some beautiful wizard and fairy wands and will be selling them on Saturday Feb 6th in front of Little Shop of Stories starting at noon. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to help Haiti. The wands will be $10 each.
