Dollar Tree finally acquired Family Tree this past June and it was reported at the time that Dollar Tree was planning to rebrand some of the existing Family Dollar stores.

Then in early July, it was announced that 330 Family Dollar stores would be sold off nationwide, but the Oakhurst location wasn’t among them.

Well now, a long-time DM reader reports in that employees at the Oakhurst location are saying that their store will be one of five Georgia Family Dollar stores to soon be rebranded as a Dollar Tree.

With the branding change it sounds like product selection will likely transform as well, as the Dollar Tree CEO noted to investors recently that Dollar Tree stores are more targeted towards “suburban consumers” than Family Dollar.
