Buyers are the Owners of Calle Latina located steps away in Downtown Decatur also. The new concept will be a reinvented NY style 1980’s Tavern and Bar to be called Truman.

What the hell is a “NY style 1980’s Tavern and Bar”? Sounds like something out of American Psycho.
Or even more terrifying than that, “Cocktail.”
Same difference.
I really enjoyed the early version of Colbeh, quiet with interesting food and incredible lamb dishes. When the bar part of the business became more prominent and noisy, I stopped going. Evidently, the mantra that you have to sell alcohol to survive in Decatur wasn’t enough here.
And if it’s 1980’s style, shouldn’t it be called “Reagan” instead?
We had fern bars, dive bars, and dance clubs in the Eighties. Maybe they’re thinking of the 1880s?
TOO SOON
Lines of coke in the bathrooms.
Locally sourced, organically grown, chef-driven potato skins.
And pasta primavera?
I expect to see Asteroids and Donkey Kong.
Or, hopefully, Galaga.
Defender FTW
Wow. Ten comments on a restaurant opening and not one “I give it six months at most” remark. I think that’s a DM record.
Only because we ain’t seen the horrible signage yet!
I assume it will have a CD jukebox
Terrific. I’ve been looking for a period-appropriate spot to finally read my copy of “The Art of the Deal.” I hear that guy has good ideas.
Maybe it will have “Smart Drinks”

Those were great, thanks.
