BBQ and Adaptive Reuse Coming to 4 Corners at 2nd & Hosea
Decatur Metro | November 4, 2015 | 1:52 pmCurbed has posted a few more fingerlicking details of the plans from the owners of Fellini’s and La Fonda for the long-vacant properties at 2nd Avenue and Hosea Williams Drive, just south of Oakhurst.
As reported by Tomorrow’s News Today back in May, the northwest corner will house the third Atlanta location of The Greater Good barbecue. However, Curbed now reports that “approvals have been secured and design is complete on this corner” and that the BBQ joint is set to open early in 2016.
The post also notes that the southeast corner of the intersection (seen in photo above) is set for “adaptive-reuse of the existing green building, construction of a new 1,680-square-foot building fronting 2nd Avenue, a large outdoor patio area connecting the two buildings and streetscape improvements”.
Plans for the northeast and southwest corners currently are still being finalized, so check back for more details on those two properties in the future.
