Jenny, you may now cease thinking and begin planning for your Decatur location. Please announce opening date at your earliest convenience.

Jenny, please come here! We need something to counteract the massive over-saturation of frozen yogurt!!

And flu season calls for an immediate injection of Jewish Penicillin. Fer gawd sake, Jenny, do it for the children.

OMG. I work in Buckhead and eat at Super Jenny’s on a regular basis. It would be so perfect to have her in Decatur too! I may never cook again.

Does anyone know what will become of the empty Ruby Tuesdays?

Have never eaten at Souper Jenny because at each attempt, there was a huge line. From the way y’all are carrying on, that will be the case with a Decatur location, too, so I still won’t get to try it.

      January 14, 2013 at 3:48 pm

Wow… have only been a couple of times but it was always fabulous. I think this would be a great fit for Decatur. Carpe Diem space?

I come from a long line of desperate soup addicts. Ok, so it’s just my mom and I, but still. I would eat there all the time, PLUS I would take my mother there whenever she visits. Please?!?

I am clearly in the minority in thinking SP is massively overrated. I like the “spinoff” Metro Fresh much better.

      • At Home in Decatur says:
        January 14, 2013 at 5:37 pm

Don’t know SP but love Metro Fresh.

        • The Walrus says:

          😉 I meant SJ!

      • jenny says:
        January 15, 2013 at 1:37 pm

Walrus, I love him too! He worked for me for years before he opened Metro fresh!

          January 15, 2013 at 3:10 pm

Hey, the people/places we write about aren’t supposed to be reading! 😉

So funny you responded. I actually stopped in today (I work in Buckhead :-() for the first time in a while and I really enjoyed it!

So don’t listen to silly people like me and bring your goods to Decatur! I have no doubt it would be a huge hit here.

Yes please! Love the soups and sandwiches and bring Lobster Roll thursday too!
Also the fact that they’re open into the evening for a casual dinner option!

    21. SAHM says:
      January 14, 2013 at 7:55 pm

Will personally help you move in.
Love this idea. Was just saying SJ is what we need.
      Best. Idea, Ever.

Check out Oakhurst, Decatur. It would do VERY well. Lots of availability on college or dekalb ave.

I second the Oakhurst location. I pledge at least two visits per week.

Our only close by vegetarian soup option (that I know of) just closed.
      We mourned.
Help us, Souper Jenny, you’re our only hope.

      • J_T says:
        January 15, 2013 at 4:45 pm

The Bakery at Cakes & Ale usually has a delicious vegetarian soup if you can get there during lunch/brunch hours. But there is definitely room for Souper Jenny too!

        • Bijoux404 says:
          January 16, 2013 at 11:16 pm

Thanks! I didn’t know. Even so, a regularly offered dinner option would be even better. Multiple options would be, um, “fantastic” doesn’t quite seem like the right word choice. I might just burst into tears.

Jenny please open up shop in Decatur!! You would get soooo much business!! Downtown Decatur really lacks a good soup and salad place — you would do so well!! Please come to Decatur!!!

SJ is a great idea. Since the Brick Store soup is “seasonal” … I could get my soup fix in the off months!
Yes, the old Ruby Tuesday’s location is calling your name…
