Nice. I remember this as a kid. Always interesting. The sign is on or near the site of the original 1820s courthouse. I remember someone doing archeological research in the area when the sidewalks were updated several years ago.
Always wondered if there were archeological digs whenever new devleopment goes in…I know there is not a ton of history here (not like trying to build a highway or something in Greece where you cant dig a hole without hitting some artifact)…but maybe some civil war stuff. Or a home renovation that finds something.
Different world with horse and buggy….but same parking issues.
I can’t bring my buggy to the Occupy Decatur protest?
It doesn’t say anything about not parking my velocipede. Huzzah!
I wonder how long “park” has been a verb?
As long as “drive” has been a noun! Thus, we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway.

+1 – always the parking issues!
I wonder if wagons and buggies sported Share the Road stickers in their day?
