Winnona Park Elementary Online Auction and Raffle

Decatur Metro | April 1, 2010

Michele sends along the info for this year’s Winnona Park Elementary Online Auction and Fundraiser Raffle…

For the past several years, Decatur City School’s Winnona Park Elementary has held an auction in the spring to raise funds for the school. This year, the school will host an online auction and raffle. Both are open to the public.

The online auction component has dozens of items available for bidding, and will be open April 14 – 21. The public is invited to browse the auction site now and to bid after April 14, on some great donations from local businesses: trips, entertainment, classes, camps, restaurant vouchers and other items solicited from the Decatur/Atlanta area. Included are gift certificates from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, The High Museum of Art, Winspire Travel, The Center for Puppetry Arts, Elite Island Resorts, Dynamo Swim Club, Cakes & Ale, Wahoo!, Little Shop of Stories, Eddie’s Attic, and Decatur/DeKalb YMCA, Holiday Inn Decatur, Squash Blossom, Decatur Music Center, and much, much more.

To view the auction go to http://tinyurl.com/wpauction, enter the auction password WILDCATS2010 and register.

You may view the entire auction catalog at this site and place bids. Items will be added until the auction opens on April 14. Bidding closes at 12:00 AM, April 22. Winners will be notified via email after the auction closes, and payments must be made by credit card. All funds raised will benefit the Winnona Park Elementary School PTA.

As another part of Winnona Park’s fundraising efforts, four fantastic items are being raffled off by Winnona Park Elementary and Oakhurst Elementary. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and may be purchased online at http://oakhurstauction.com. Select the “Raffle” tab to place your order. Choose from these four items when you purchase your ticket:

* Buddy International 50cc Scooter, provided by Scooter Superstore in Midtown and valued at $2,200.

* CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Subscription, provided by Riverview Farms. With CSA, pick up fresh organic produce weekly at the Oakhurst Community Garden, valued at $760.

* Ultra Motors Europa Electric Bicycle, provided by Decatur’s Twist ‘n Scoot., valued at $1,800

* One-Year YMCA Membership for Family of Four, provided by Decatur/DeKalb YMCA, valued at $1,162

The entire fundraiser is being held in conjunction with the Oakhurst Elementary and Winnona Park Elementary’s annual spring dance for parents and faculty. The above raffle drawings and a live auction will cap off this festive night, April 30. Raffle participants need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by May 5, 2010.
