Mikel Pittard’s Mother Speaks Out
Decatur Metro | October 15, 2009The AJC is doing a good job of following up on the recent shooting of Decatur High School student Mikel Pittard.
The latest article includes new comments from Mikel’s mother, Peggy Hunter, along with additional details on the actual shooting itself. DeKalb police still have no suspects in the case.
Of particular note:
A funeral is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Raleigh Rucker funeral home on Candler Road in Decatur.
The AJC mentions a memorial fund at Bank of America. I understand from your post yesterday that there’s a fund at Decatur First Bank. I guess there are two. Anyone know?
I do not know, but if you choose to donate with cash at DFB, you will need to go to the main branch on Commerce Drive
You can also go to the Decatur First Branch at Little Kroger in Downtown Decatur
Donations can be made in cash or by check at the main branch of Decatur First Bank or the Kroger branch. The main branch is open Monday thru Friday 8:30 to 4 and our Kroger branch is open Monday thru Friday 11:30 to 6:30 and Saturday 10 to 3.
