    "Dressing Room" To Replace Dresscodes

    Decatur Metro | April 29, 2009 | 8:15 am

…or Dre55c0d35 or whatever it was!

Carl is on a roll and sends in this pic.

I wonder what kind of shop it’ll be… What do you think?

    I’m going with a salad dressing emporium… :-)

Well thank goodness the logo will be legible. Never understood or could decipher the last store’s logo. I often wanted to call to see if they carried something I wanted but since I had no idea what that…sign…said, I couldn’t look up the phone number.

Graphic design in the hands of the untrained can be a dangerous thing.

Actually, I was just thinking that ANOTHER horrendous logo has landed at that location. Uggh!

      Agreed….

My wife would not be enamored by this design.

definitely not a good logo. hopefully the offerings of the store will outweigh the poor choice in design!

I thought it was going to be a Kosher restaurant called “Fressing Room” when I first saw the logo.

Reminds me of the Red Shoe restaurant.

      Wow Jeff. Wow. Good eye.

What jumps out at me is the word “doom.” Not a good omen.

Although this store opened briefly, the space is now empty of merchandise; and I strongly suspect we’ve seen the last of this retailer.

Weird. It seems to have operated just like one of those temporary Christmas stores at the mall.

CM, why is Carl’s comment way up here (between CSD Mom and Steve’s, comments dated April 30)? Aren’t comments filed chornogically, unless you reply to a specific comment?

Yes, but all posts that were transferred from the old site to the new are having this issue with comments. Not sure what I can do about it.

No prob — just noticed that. :) (and I meant DM, not CM).

Speaking of temporary stores, I’ve heard of Target doing that in some urban areas. Can we get them to come here for the summer? :)

Yeah, except that place is boarded up.

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that I always thought the Red Shoe was a…er…gentlemen’s club, right up until it closed. I think I was transposing “Red Shoe Diaries” with the fact that the place had no windows.

Just to confirm: Pin Ups isn’t a poster and calendar outlet, right?

I’m reasonably sure about the pet crematorium.

I was only referring to the similarities in their logo designs.

There may still be a connection – let’s see how long the Dressing Room lasts.
