For those unfamiliar with this abbreviation, “WePo” means “West Ponce”, though I don’t think I could ever bring myself to say to someone, “Why don’t we head down to WePo and grab a beer?”.   But I have no weproblem typing it endlessly!

ANYWAY, Whit’s End writes in to remind everyone that this Friday, October 24th is WePo’s monthly “Fab Friday”, when many merchants discount their good, wares and liquor to the general public.

Some highlights…

Boogaloos, Heliotrope, Kaleidoscope, Peggy’s Boutique, Eviva, Fabutique, and Melrose on Ponce all have 20% off regularly priced items.  Whit’s End has 20% off Levi’s and Columbia short-sleeve shirts and 10% off all other non-sale stuff (excluding photography).  Dresscodes has 25% off t-shirts.

Tastings has 1/2 price draft beer and $5 martinis, Viola has $5 cocktails until 7p, and Natalie’s offers a free appetizer with two entrees.

Cheap alcohol and discount shopping!?  Sounds like the perfect prescription for those recession-blues!
