The Oakhurst Arts Run is a decades-long community tradition, and it moved this year to the 4/5 Academy (“F.AVE”) to become the school’s signature fundraiser. The event is a 5K run/walk that will start and finish at F.AVE, and the F.AVE PTO has partnered with the Decatur Education Foundation (DEF) to spread the word and maximize the number of folks who will join in celebrating F.AVE’s connection to the broader Oakhurst community. And kids will love the art, too. While supplies last, participants will receive event t-shirts and a chance to tie-dye them after the race. Proceeds will support educational programs at F.AVE, including its Tybee Island field study, cultural-arts assemblies, Literary Café, classroom mini-grants, and much more.
