Decatur Screenprint and Mudfire Clayworks Have New Owners

Decatur Metro | March 12, 2013

From the folks at Decatur Screenprint…

Decatur Screenprint (& Embroidery) is under new ownership and we are very excited to continue to serveour customers and the community. We have only been open for 3 weeks, and can already report we are working and ready for business! Here is a little information on the new owners;

Since 2007 Robin Ackermann has been the founding owner of Make It Personal, LLC, an embroidery and monogramming company. The merging of professional services through the acquisition of Decatur Screenprint is a natural progression of our business evolution.  Robin has a strong background in marketing and software education, as well as teaching pre-school locally. She has experience and networking within the community through creating and chairing several PTA positions for Spirit Wear. Robin is available to assist with new and exciting ideas for your business or fund raising with a minimal amount of work for you and with maximum results.

Nancy Moore brings a high level of experience in the software arena, including technical writing, training and consulting. Entities with which Nancy has been associated include The National Academy of Engineering and Experian. Most recently she worked as an Account Manager at Fair Issac, overseeinglarge client relationships in product sales. Nancy is a volunteer leader at several local education environments. Her volunteerism is extensive: Co-President of the PTA at Fernbank Elementary School,Co-President of the PTSA at Druid Hills Middle School, Co-President of The Emory-LaVista Parent Council, which includes an expansive outreach program, and volunteer at The Get Grounded Teen Studio.

Robin and Nancy are the yin and the yang of a professional, local small business. Each of our talents ensures a creative and meticulous customer experience.  We welcome your product suggestions or we can offer a myriad of selections to help meet your request.

And from over at Mudfire Clayworks and Gallery’s website…

MudFire Clayworks & Gallery, a nationally-prominent ceramic art center, is pleased to announce a wide range of new programs and enhancements concurrent with a change in ownership. Deanna Ranlett, owner of Atlanta Clay, has acquired a controlling interest in MudFire. Deanna, along with her team of investors and staff, has an ambitious plan for building on MudFire’s sterling reputation in the clay community.
