From the folks at the Decatur Arts Festival…

Our annual hometown arts event begins in less than three weeks.  There are plenty of different opportunities for you to get involved.  Most involve committing just a couple of hours of time.  Shifts begin with setup on Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning at 7-10am, through Sunday early evening.  You can help welcoming guests, assisting artists, with the silent auction, in the Kids Art area, with Decatur Makers and more.

All volunteers will receive a free festival t-shirt.

The 6^th Annual SkaterAid 2010 Skate & Music Festival  will be held on 9/26/10 (Sunday) 2:00pm – 7:00pm at East Decatur Station to raise funds for the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children and honor the life of Ian Wochatz.   This is the first call for volunteers.  Volunteers will receive free admission to the event.    We will need a firm commitment please and have many areas where help is needed and basically an early shift (2pm – 4:30pm) and a late shift (4:30pm – 7pm), but also….some earlier & later times for set-up and breakdown.    Please contact Cathy Keeler at [email protected] to volunteer for a shift(s).    Also, please visit our website for details about SkaterAid and its schedule of events (music, skateboarding competition, silent art auction) at:   http://www.skateraid.net/
