Signs of Life at New Korean BBQ Restaurant in the Arlo

Billy sent in this photo from the corner retail spot of the Arlo.

Decaturish reported back in March that the new Korean BBQ spot was planning to open by July.

What Should Go Into Large Vacant Retail Space at the Arlo?

This is probably one of the most intriguing, vacant retail locations in the whole COD.

What do you think would work well in this large retail space at the corner of the Arlo along Trinity with soaring ceilings?  Basketball venue?  Top Golf? Stone Summit?  ðŸ™‚

(Do you like how I accentuated the height of the space by including a reflection of the sky?  That was totally intentional.  Yeah…it was.)

East Trinity Pedestrian and Bike Detour In Place For 3 Weeks

e howard closing

From The Decatur Minute…

In order to extend the streetscaping improvements along Trinity, the builders of the Arlo building will require space to do their work at and around the existing crosswalk.

Starting on March 4th, a bike and ped detour will be set in place to travel around this area. The PATH Trail will remain open, however access from the trail across E. Trinity Place will not be possible. The detour will remain in place for three to four weeks.

The City has carefully considered the temporary closing and the detour. Please know that we understand the inconvenience that this will bring for some. The detour will ensure safety and provide for the construction of a much better sidewalk on the south side of E. Trinity Place.

Thank you for your consideration.

Dairy Queen Set To Sign Lease at Trinity Triangle (aka “Arlo”)

jhp_trinitytriangle_v01_dusk

Busy day on the retail front!

Decaturish is reporting that Dairy Queen is set to sign a lease at the under-construction Trinity Triangle development in the coming weeks.  The fate of the Momin family’s franchise has been in question since the stand alone location was closed and demolished last year.

Also of note from the Decaturish post – apparently the Trinity Triangle development has a new name – “Arlo”.  You can check out Arlo yourself on the Centro Development website.
