4. Hometown fave – Sushi Avenue. Fresh, good, reasonably priced – why travel?

6. Sushi Avenue is always spot on. I also like The One Sushi Plus in Brookhaven, Circle Sushi in Sandy Springs and Shoya Izakaya in Doraville. if you’re ever in Destin, FL I highly recommend Harbor Docks. their Summer Roll (off the menu but ask and they’ll make it) is my favorite roll ever.

8. The original Sushi Avenue location is the best. I bet I’ve been several hundred times over the years!

10. If you are looking outside of DEC, Sushi Hayakawa on Buford Highway (just OTP) or Nakato on Cheshire Bridge.

14. Tomo and Umi, both pricey, but worth it if you really love sushi.

18. Miso Izakaya in O4W and Sushi Ave when I don’t feel like leaving Decatur.

20. I have gotten the omakase at Brush several times and have always been floored. Definitely a splurge, but worth it in my opinion. Great bar program as well.

24. Sushi Ave in Decatur, Hopstix outside of Decatur

26. Sushi Hayakawa is more traditional but I also love Bottle Rocket in Castleberry Hill.
