There’s animated snowflakes on the Be Active Decatur water fountain site. Nice touch! Also, The new fountains in front of Decatur Recreation Center and the water at Scott Garden will be left on because they have heated pipes!
I clicked on the Eater link to read about the new Catherall restaurant in VA-HI, and I saw on Eater’s homepage that Sobban is closing. The owners are opening another Heirloom BBQ near Seoul and wanted to consolidate, plus they complain about Dekalb County permitting issues. I am not surprised by Sobban’s closing, but was hoping they’d change it to another Heirloom BBQ outpost.
I’m not a Baptist or even a Christian, but was hugely impressed by Julie Pennington-Russell — I feel her departure is a great loss to our city.
