The Final List Candidates for Decatur’s November Election

    Decatur Metro | September 2, 2015 | 6:30 pm

    qualifying Decatur

Here’s the final list of Decatur residents who have qualified for the November election, with candidates who have qualified since yesterday highlighted in yellow.

All these races combined with the school system’s bond vote should make for a very interesting election season!

Note that, in the case of District 1, the City charter requires only a plurality to win, so there would be no runoff.

With four contested seats, I’m hoping someone is organizing a debate or similar forum? My mind is made up on the At Large commission seat, but I’m open on the others.

Scooter–I think a debate is a fantastic idea, especially given the competitive slate this year. I’d like to propose one as well. I look forward to introducing myself and describing my platform and goals to my neighbors.
