    1. Bamboo plantings are the go-to solution for making something inherently not green seem kinda green.

  1. Just to be clear, it’s a neighborhood association meeting (not community event.)

We’re look forward to a terrific meeting! We’re especially interested in neighbors’ input on the proposed streetscape improvements plan.

    * Doors open at 6:45pm for membership enrollment. A nominal $10/member buys you a year’s worth of fun! :0)

    1. Deanne,
If I live in Great Lakes neighborhood, am I welcome to come to this meeting or is it closed to adjacent neighbors? I am very interested and concerned about what it going in with regards to walkability.

      1. Hi Josiah,

This is a DHNA meeting for Decatur Heights neighbors. Knowing there’s lots of interest in both presentations, we’ll be posting a recap. A neighbor also emailed she’ll be covering it for another blog.

I’d be glad to try to provide answers to your walkability concerns. Selig and the Cross-Neighborhoods Committee (CNC) have put a lot of effort into improving walkability in and around Suburban Plaza. It’s a key focus for the CNC as we meet with developers on projects proposed for our community.

[ I’m on the CNC. I’m also a community liaison for Selig for the Suburban Plaza project.]
