Kale Me Crazy Opening In Old Terra Mater Space on West Ponce
Decatur Metro | October 24, 2014 | 9:35 amAltmod writes in FFAF this morning that she’s observed a sign in the old Terra Mater space – next to Decatur CD on West Ponce (MAP)- announcing that Kale Me Crazy juice bar would be opening a second Atlanta location in the old hair salon.
Kale Me Crazy’s first location is in Inman Park along Highland Ave. They serve cold-pressed juices, smoothies, coffee, wraps, and acai bowls. Back in July, USA Today named the spot the top juice bar in the country.

Yep. Kale Me Crazy posted the news on their Instagram yesterday. Excited!
I’m not even a juice person, but I will give this place a try simply based on proximity (and maybe they’ll help draw a little bit more traffic to my beloved Decatur CD).
But that name. God. It’s painful. Up there with “What the Pho?” in the “Really? That’s what you’re going with?” category of facepalm business names.
At least it’s not Kale Yeah!
I have the same feeling about Arepa Mia.
I agree! Definitely never saying that one out loud.
It doesn’t matter if I say it out loud. Whenever I just see the name, I can’t get Kurt Cobain’s voice singing it out of my head.
That’s marketing gold.
Don’t dare knock Arepa Mia. The place is amazing.
Agreed. Terrible name. Is it ever a good idea to totally define your business with a single, trendy food item? Still, I’ll probably try it too, since I happen to like the trendy food item in question.
In fairness, the podcast “Startup” and South Park have taught me that coming up with an original unregistered business name — good, bad, or otherwise — is crazy hard, so maybe terrible puns and dubious homophones in business names are inevitable.
if they wanted to be edgy, how about Rekalecitrant!
