From Decatur Police Sgt. Jennifer Ross…
As of Monday, September 8, 2014 at 8:00 am, the administrative, patrol, investigations and communications divisions of the Decatur Police Department will be located back at 420 West Trinity Place, Decatur, GA 30030. Decatur Municipal Court is still located at 120 West Trinity Place, Decatur, GA 30030. The temporary offices located at 250 East Ponce de Leon Avenue, Suite T130 and 314-C Church Street will be closed.
If you have any trouble locating the office you need, please call the non-emergency number 404/373-6551.
They should have changed the street number to 418 or 422 when they rebuilt the police station.
In contrast to the ever-increasing militarization of local police forces, DPD prefers to keep it mellow.
I am probably one of the three people reading this that had know clue what you were referring to. Had to Google it. In my day, 420 would have probably meant “Meet me behind the school to trade baseball cards”.
I guess this opens the door for work to begin on the Big Boss buildout. Countdown to karaoke.
Dim sum lights and fire up the music.
Finally a real police department facility
+1
Is the space on the corner (grassy area where the apartments used to be) going to be a park?
The park is behind Beacon Hill. The space you’re talking about is being sold off for development to help pay for all the DHA housing renovation and new construction that’s been taking place.
