Valarie Wilson Wins Democratic Nomination for State School Superintendent
Decatur Metro | July 23, 2014 | 10:10 am
From WABE…
While the state schools superintendent race on the Republican side remains too close to call, Democrats have their candidate.
Former Decatur school board chief Valarie Wilson scored a decisive win Tuesday night over state Rep. Alisha Thomas Morgan by a vote of 54 percent to 46 percent.

Yay!!!
More importantly, Jeff Mann won in a landslide. Dekalb got that one right.
+1
+1 on Jeff Mann. Not every day is it easy to be proud to be a DeKalb Co. resident, but today I am.
I like the Decaturish headline: Mann up !
btw – what is the correct possessive form if Decaturish? Decaturish’s ?
Totally happy about Jeff Mann. Dekalb did the right thing!
You people have no sense of humor. Vernon as sheriff would have made the Daily Show and Colbert Report. We may not have this chance of being a national laughingstock for years to come. Ugh.
Why don’t you try calling in a tip about the tree ordinance?
First off, I can’t believe that you would think I would do something as lowdown as that.
Second, thanks for the idea!
Have you met Jody Hice of District 10?
