The Decatur, GA post office is just a horrible joke. I always try to g to any other post office on earth, but the few occasions I have to go, they never fail to deliver horrible service.

I go out of my way to go to either Avondale PO or Kirkwood PO. They are always super nice and smiling. The overwhelming feeling of apathy that exudes from the Decatur PO employees is both disheartening and exasperating. Dare I say it leaves me feeling a bit…….disgruntled.

+1 for the Avondale post office. The staff is friendly and even when there is a line, the wait is not intolerable.

+1 billion for the avondale post office…proud to say it has been almost 8 years since i’ve stepped foot in the decatur post office…it was entirely too painful each and every time.

I never get my New Yorkers on time . . . they are often two weeks late. (It’s a weekly.) Drives me crazy.

That’s probably because the employees there pass around your mags until they’ve all had a chance to read them!

Since I moved back to Decatur in August, I’ve had the same problem with the New Yorker. Fortunately, I’m about 6 weeks behind on reading them, so no biggie. But if I ever get caught up, I’d imagine this will piss me off!

My gift subscription just started a couple of weeks ago and it’s a huge weekly treat. They’d better not start messing around with the delivery time frame! In fairness, my mail carriers are really great. But any trip to the Decatur PO that can’t be accomplished via the self-serve kiosk by the front door is guaranteed to be a huge time suck and generate enough aggravation and disgust for the next two days.

I have avoided 90% of visits to the PO with stamps.com. If I must go, I go to Avondale.

This is the one thing I miss about OTP living – the small friendly post offices and friendly mail carriers. I go out of my way to the PO at N Dekalb Mall when I need stamps. Lived in 30030 8+ years and used the Decatur PO only a few times and have always been disappointed in its service.
