Eurasia Space Stripped Down to the Studs

    Decatur Metro | February 28, 2011 | 11:30 am

Andisheh sends in this pic of the old Eurasia space currently under renovation to become Ford Fry’s new “Local Sourced, Italian Inspired” restaurant.  Looks like they’re well on their way!

I hope they don’t get rid of the great tile floor in there. Looking forward to this place!

Wow! Now I may have to retract a statement I once made about “never, ever stepping foot in that place again!”

See ya Eurasia, can’t say that I’ll miss you. Looking forward to the new place!

The former Nathalie’s Fish House space, soon to become a taco concept by the the Fox Bros. folks, was in a similar state when we peeked in the door on Sat. while while getting our dogs groomed at The Fur Side.

Late spring/early summer should be quite exciting with these two anticipated establishments AND the massive Cakes & Ale annex/bakery opening their doors!

Thanks for the update on Nathalie’s Fish House, lump. I was JUST wondering about this yesterday. Glad to know that things are moving ahead for that Tex-Mex place!

Yes, thanks. I was thinking the same thing as I was writing this post.

        “What’s for dinner?”
        “Taco concepts.”
        “I’ll have two!”

The “Eurasia” space will always be the “Square Table” space to me…

Spiro was a good man. A Decatur diner before the Decatur Diner.

So true. And I’ll bet Speros would have loved the tackiness of the design of the new place! Decatur’s gotten enough fancy places in the last ten years, it’s great to have a good old diner. And it’s fitting that it’s just across the street from the old Square Table, with the new-fangled Leon’s in between.
