Decatur Stadium to Host NCAA Lacrosse Game

On Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 pm Decatur Stadium will host a men’s NCAA Division 3 college lacrosse game featuring Roanoke College, ranked #5 nationally, and Birmingham-Southern College. Tickets are $5 in advance (see the Decatur Laxdog in your neighborhood) or $7 at the gate. Proceeds benefit the boy’s lacrosse program at Decatur High. Roanoke is a highly respected program and plays an up-tempo, exciting and fun-to-watch brand of lacrosse. BSC features a large number of Atlantans on their roster, including DHS class of 2008 graduate Chris Clarke.

Great news–I hope it will benefit the girls program, too.
Better yet – how about a top flight women’s game next year – Florida vs Vanderbilt comes to mind. I bet the Agnes Scott Scotties would like to play a game in the stadium too.
What is a Laxdog?
There are two definitions:
1) A really lazy canine, or
2) A dog wandering around Los Angeles airport.
A Laxdog is a Decatur High School lacrosse player! Contact me at [email protected] if you need tickets. Both my boys play on the DHS lacrosse team and we would love to have the community come out and support this game.
