What Happened to Potato Finger? It Moved into Atlanta
Decatur Metro | January 7, 2008Asking the questions that others are embarrassed to utter. That’s what Decatur Metro loves to do.
So in that vein, today we ask what happened to the small potato chip company, Potato Finger, that used to reside at 114 E. Trinity Place (behind City Hall) in Decatur? The Potato Finger van and company sign are gone and all that remains is a forlorn “For Lease” sign. Did they go under or just move?
It would be too bad if they closed. Those were pretty good chips. I had them at the Beer Festival and seem to recall that Rachel Ray deemed them “yum-o!”.
UPDATE: The answer? Leon Stoltz of PotatoFinger lets us know that they’ve moved to Atlanta. See the comments section below for his note.
Don’t know, except that all merchants listing it say the product is now out of stock and they don’t know when they’ll get more.
What bugs me is sites which don’t tell us what happened to the business, such as:

I was told the city was going to buy that building, but I don’t have that as as official info. If there’s still a “for lease” sign out front, that might be bad info.
The site linked in the previous comment seems to be still taking bulk orders for chips, so perhaps they are being made elsewhere.
If you really want to know, try calling the numbers listed.

I’ve already emailed them and am waiting on a response. In the meantime I just thought I would ask the blogsphere and see if I came up with anything.
PotatoFinger has moved its offices to Atlanta.
You should be able to pick your favorite flavor of PotatoFinger chips from any Kroger snack isle, starting mid February.
You can also order your favorite flavor of chips by calling 404.687.3331. Or, ask your favorite retailer to start carrying PotatoFinger.
In addition, we are adding more products such as the Lullwater SoapNut brand. See http://www.lullwaterbrands.com.
Thank you for your interest and continued support.
