Ponce Court Street Sale

May 14, 2009 | 11:12 am

Lump wants you to come to his neighborhood yard sale this weekend.  How can you resist?

The families of the Ponce de Leon Court Historic District will be holding a huge street sale this weekend (May 16 & 17). All families will be participating on Saturday (from around 10 a.m. to around 4 p.m.), with some families also offering items on Sunday (same hours). The sale will include cookware, serving pieces, electronics, furniture, antiques, books, CDs, clothes for all ages, toys, and more. Come out and snag some bargains while touring one of Decatur’s most charming neighborhoods!

You will indeed….And I’ll probably be soaking wet if the current weather forecast holds.

Since this is now an historic district, will the prices be stuck in time like it is still 1932?

    1927, actually: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponce_de_Leon_Court_Historic_District

And while inflation has taken a toll since then, I did notice as we were pricing things in the wee hours last night that there were an inordinate amount of .25 items….and a very large box of free goodies.
