The annual Decatur Business Association Easter Egg Hunt is this weekend! Join us on Saturday, March 28th on the front lawn of Decatur First Baptist Church The Easter Bunny arrives at 10:30am and the hunt starts at 11am sharp.

Spring is just around the corner and that means you need to put Saturday, April 12^th on your calendar. Hop on over to the front lawn of Decatur First Baptist Church for the Decatur Business Association’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. The bunny arrives at 10:30 am and the hunt begins at 11 am sharp. Be sure to arrive on time, because the bunny waits for no one!

Just in case it rains, we will plan to hold the egg hunt in the gym at the church.

This event is presented by the Decatur Business Association in partnership with Decatur First Baptist Church

From the Decatur Business Association…

Despite speculation that tomorrow morning may be rainy, the Decatur Business Association’s Easter Egg Hunt on the Square will go on, rain or shine.

If it is actually raining when it is time to start the festivities, the Easter Bunny will be visiting with kids and families under the Community Bandstand. Rather than hunting, there will be goodies bags for everyone who braves the rain to join us.

If it is just a little wet tomorrow morning, the Easter Egg Hunt will go on as planned! Easter Bunny arrives at 10:30 a.m. The candy hunt begins promptly at 11 a.m. Age categories: 0-2; preschool, kindergarten, grades 1-5.

And if you do manage to make it out to the Square, please take a moment to thank all of our wonderful sponsors who make this event happen! You can find out more about them on the DBA website.

It’s less a hunt and more of a candy free-for-all.

From The Decatur Minute…

The annual Decatur Business Association Easter Egg Hunt is on Saturday on the Old Courthouse Square. The bunny arrives at 10:30 am and the hunt begins at 11 am sharp, so bring your basket and join in. The hunt will be over in about 2 minutes- we have never seen children move so fast as when motivated by candy eggs!

Can we do this again in the summer with cherry tomatoes instead of jelly beans? 🙂

As Decatur Mom and the Decatur Minute point out, this Saturday is the DBA’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Decatur Square.  They both have all the details, so pay them a visit.

I, however, am momentarily entertained by this Decatur Minute pic from last year, which uncaptioned seems to document some kind of child riot on the Square.

Could this be from the Great Playground Walkout of 2008?
