Decatur Boys Soccer won their first State Title since 2003, beating East Hall 3-2 in the State Final in Macon on May 12th.  Track athlete, Sam Ellis won the State Title for the 800 and 1600 meter runs.
The Decatur Athletic Department, CSD Administration, Decatur High Administration, Decatur Bulldog Boosters, Decatur High PTSA, and the City of Decatur invite Decatur sport fans, families and youth to celebrate the achievement and hard work of our Decatur athletes who have achieved at the very highest level.
    Rally Date: Wednesday 5/18
Rally Time:  3:00 to 3:30 pm (gates open at 2:45 pm)
    Location:  Decatur High School Stadium*
(*In case of rain, an announcement will be sent regarding moving the event to the DHS Gym.)
    Meet and Greet to Follow:

Decatur Girls & Boys Soccer Teams Lose Semi-Final Matches

    Decatur Metro | May 18, 2015 | 1:12 pm

bulldogThis news a bit old to those in-the-know, but I wanted to close this loop, since someone asked me recently what happened in the Decatur High Boys & Girls Soccer semi-final matches last week.

Michael posted this final update on Next Door…

As I have posted several notices recently about Decatur High soccer, I want to post one final update. Sadly, both the girls and the boys lost in their semi-final matches. The girls lost 6-1 to a strong Westminster team on Tuesday. The boys lost to Calhoun High School in a heartbreaking shootout on Thursday. Obviously, both teams had impressive seasons, each finishing as one of the top four teams in the state in their classification. Nice run, Bulldogs. Thank you for an exciting soccer season. We look forward to another one next year!

What a great run by Decatur High’s Boys and Girls Soccer teams this year!

Decatur Boys Soccer Team Advances to Quarter-Finals, Today at 2p

    Decatur Metro | May 9, 2015 | 12:50 pm

86-10133A bit last minute, but if you’re looking for some entertainment this afternoon, head on down to Decatur High School stadium!  The Boys Soccer team is in the quarter-finals.  Michael sent in the details.

With great fan support from the Decatur community, the Decatur Bulldog boys soccer team was able to defeat Sonoraville High School Wednesday night 6-0 in the second round of the State Playoffs. In the first round of the playoffs, they travelled two hours to Sandersville, GA, last Friday where they defeated Washington County 11-1.  The Bulldogs now advance to the Elite 8 of the State Playoffs.

The Decatur boys will play host on Saturday to Dawson County High School.  Kickoff will be at 2:00 PM at Decatur High School.  Per Georgia High School Association regulations, tickets are $7.00 with ages 5 and under free. The Decatur community – and any other fans of good soccer – are invited to come out and cheer on the Decatur High Boys Soccer team as they look to advance to the Final Four!

The AJC wrote about the boy’s soccer team’s recent success recently.  Check it out!
